Day 15: The last day

Today was stinking hot! We had a sleep in and then went to visit Jim and Julie Clarke (friends of Chris's from his old work at the nursing home). They gave us yummy morning tea and told us about their horses.

We went back to Binty's place and finished making our cupcakes then ate them. We packed up our stuff and cleaned up a bit then headed out to the Burger's place for dinner. We had a bbq and really yummy chicken sausages.

We went through a carwash on the way back to Binty's then vacuumed out the car.

Day 14: Toowoomba

Today we went to a lenten church service at Our Saviour's. Chris's friend Pastor Will was taking the service.

After that we went to Grand Central with Will and Karen and got Boost juice, did some shopping and grabbed some lunch. We got Red Rooster and went to Queen's park for a play and lunch. It was super hot and we played in the water toy at the park.

We went to Ducky and PD's for afternoon tea and sat in the air conditioning and drank cold water. We stole lollies out of the lolly bowl too. When they move into a home or pass away, Chris gets to have that lolly bowl. Ducky turns 90 this year.

We went home and had spaghetti bol and garlic bread for dinner with Binty and went to bed. Chris and Haidee went out for ice-cream with Richard.

Day 13: Driving around

Today was Sophie's birthday (Haidee's best friend). We picked her up and got in the car and drove to Jondaryan Woolshed. We looked around in the heat at a bunch of Australian history stuff. We fed some animals too.

After that we drove up to the Bunya Mountains. We saw heaps of wallabies and even some with joeys in their pouches. We saw a few rosellas and lots of lizards. We went on a walk to a waterfall.

We decided to come back the long way via Papa and Nanna Grey-grey's place at Googa. We didn't have much time to visit them but we helped feed the chickens and collect the eggs.

We drove back to Toowoomba and went to Ni Hao for dinner where we got all we can eat Chinese. But this restaurant has the added twist that we order what we want, eat all of that and then we can order more. This reduces wasteage and is actually pretty cool.
