Day 3: Cricket and Toowoomba

So cyclone Marcia is gone. We got alot of rain, not much wind, and some more road flooding. It moved off toward Brisbane and fizzled out to a low pressure system. After packing up at Tom's place, we braved the roads and headed to Brisbane. We visited Haidee's grandparents and god-parents and waited around to see if the cricket would be on.

A really big tunnel! The kids counted slowly to 100 and we still weren't out

At 4 o'clock we made the decision to go to the Gabba anyway and at least show the  kids the stadium even if the game wasn't going to be played. We drove in, found a park and got to our seats at the stadium and within 15 minutes they'd called the game off. We went to the top of the stadium and took some photos with the team and then got in the car to go to Toowoomba.

As soon as we left the cricket, the sun came out. We got to Toowoomba in time for dinner (KFC) with Binty and Barry and went to bed.
