Day 8: Ikea and Straddie

Today we packed up and got in the car to go to Straddie. On the way we stopped at ikea to buy a few things and get $1 hot dogs for lunch. It was really cool, we saw lots of cool beds and chairs and lots of toys and kids bedroom stuff. We recognised a few things from home too.

We got on the barge (vehicle ferry) and went over the water to Straddie. We saw a few jelly fish in the water but couldn't get a picture.

Once on the island, we drove to Amity to the house we're staying in. After a bit of unpacking we went for a swim by the jetty and went to the shop for maxibons (icecream). Along the way we saw an eagles nest.

After chiko rolls and salad for dinner, Haidee and Shakira went for a walk to spot some wildlife. They found 3 koalas and some dolphins. As they got back to the house, they also spotted a geko.
